During the early development phase of Stumble Guys, I worked as a character designer, shaping the look and feel of the game’s inhabitants. Guided by the art direction, I had to follow pre-existing design, keeping it simple yet full of personality.
One of the biggest challenges was making the characters simple—and always trying to ensure each character was minimalistic but that has a clear identity and purpose.
Every small detail had to matter. Additionally, since these characters would be translated into 3D models, I needed to provide clean,
well-defined designs that could easily transition to 3D modeling without losing their charm or readability.
